About the Team

The TikTokE-commerce Recommendation and Marketing Algorithm team isresponsible for algorithm and big data work on e-commerceinnovation projects. Leveraging on our products, the team helpsusers discover and acquire great products, enriching their lives.In this team, we not only use recommendation and search algorithmsto help users find items they are interested in but also employrisk control algorithms and intelligent platform governancealgorithms to detect violations, ensuring a secure shoppingexperience. We build intelligent customer service technologies andlarge-scale product knowledge graphs to improve the efficiency ofvarious transaction processes. Furthermore, we develop logisticsand operations research algorithms to enhance supply chainefficiency, and we apply artificial intelligence to help merchantsimprove their operational capabilities. Our mission: To makehigh-quality products easily accessible, enabling everyone to enjoya betterlife.

Responsibilities

-Participate in optimizing TikTok e-commerce growth and marketingalgorithms, including core capabilities such as user valuemodelling, personalized messaging, recommendations, and intelligentmarketing.

- Establish a user lifecycle data andvalue system to address core pain points and business challengesrelated to TikTok Mall user growth.

- Contributeto the implementation of product and technical solutions for usergrowth engines, such as personalized push notifications/emails,recommendation handling, etc., to increase e-commerce DAU andpenetration rates.

- Optimize algorithms relatedto recall/sorting for new user recommendations, improving therelevance of traffic source handling and the accuracy and diversityof new user recommendations.

- Optimizeintelligent marketing algorithms, utilizing uplift models andoperations research methods to improve marketing efficiency anddrive e-commerce GMVgrowth.

Qualifications

MinimumQualifications

- Bachelor's degree or higher inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or relatedtechnical discipline.

- Experience in C++ andPython; at least one of the Big Data tools (For eg. Hivesql/Spark/Mapreduce; at least one of the Deep Learning tools(Foreg. Tensorflow/Pytorch).

- Strong foundation inalgorithms and data structures, with excellent coding skills.

- Strong learning ability, curiosity, and goodcommunication and teamwork skills.

- At least 3years of relevant experience in user growth or intelligentmarketing.

PreferredQualifications

- Candidates who have publishedpapers in top AI conferences/journals or achieved notable resultsin ACM/Machine Learning competitions

-Experience in recommendation systems, advertising, user growth,intelligent marketing, or related fields, with expertise in LTVestimation, uplift modelling, operations research, sequencemodelling, or multi-scenario modelling optimization is aplus.
