Senior Procurement Coordinator

The Senior Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient procurement of relevant goods and services, management of preferred suppliers and the administrative follow up on the procurement process.
Main TasksProcurement
- Procure and/or cancel the required goods and services based on the most favorable terms and conditions taking business requirements into account.
- Manage own procurement portfolio and associated spending.
- Analyse financial performance of suppliers and prepare reports for internal organization.
- Ensure balance between sales and supplier payment terms is managed.
- Identify cost saving opportunities by continuously reviewing the current way of working and logistics and supply chain opportunities.
- Assess quality and performance of suppliers and follow up with suppliers.
Market intelligence and networking
- Select new suppliers based on set supplier selection criteria.
- Develop and maintain network internally and externally to ensure targets and objectives are met.
- Visit national and regional exhibitions and trade fairs.
- Advise relevant stake holders in the organization on trends and developments
- Interact with other procurement coordinators to ensure one-way-of-working is implemented and maintained, share best practices and secure one-face to market.
HSSEQ
- Monitor KPIs with suppliers, manage supplier performance, audit and review based on contract/agreement.
- Promote safe working and standards at suppliers.
Administration
- Maintain procurement/supplier database in the operational systems.
- Create supplier visit report and file reports.
- Follow up on disputes invoices.
- Register supplier agreements and contracts.
- Update changes in terms and conditions as agreed with suppliers.
- Take action whenever the supplier payment process is not running properly.
- Guiding and monitoring of juniors' task.
Requirement
- Candidate must possess at least ITE/Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Degree in any field.
- 1 to 2 years working experience in ocean freight, shipping, freight forwarding in import & export would be an advantage.
- Computer Literature.
- Knowledge of international transportation business would be an advantage.
- Able to adapt fast and comfortable with working on in-house systems.
- Able to cope in fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking prerequisite.
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with people in different level/department.
- Team player mentality.
- Plus, point for those who possess ISO Tank knowledge.
