Tenure-Track Position for Assistant Professor in the Schoolof Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology(Sustainability Engineering)

The Schoolof Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is aunique department at NTU Singapore, advancing cutting-edgeeducation and research in diverse areas of chemistry, chemicalengineering, bio(medical)engineering, biotechnology, and otherrelevant multidisciplinary fields. CCEB invites applications forthe area of Sustainability Engineering at the Assistant Professorlevel. Possible areas include but are not limited to data drivenenergy system modelling, carbon economics, logistics and supplychain management, and/or techno-economic analysis and life cycleassessment, particularly in the context of sustainability andcircularity.
We are open to expanding theseareas as well as entering new fields. Applicants should hold a Ph.Din a related science or engineering field by the beginning ofemployment and should have demonstrated experience in the relatedresearch. Preference will be given to individuals with foundationaltraining in chemical engineering or closely related disciplines.Under special circumstances, an untenured associate or seniorfaculty appointment is possible, commensurate with experience.Faculty duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate coursesin the related subjects and developing course materials, conductingoriginal scholarly research, as well as advising, supervising,training, and mentoring students and junior researchers. We seek imaginative scholars who wantto make a big impact through teaching and mentoring students andconducting groundbreaking research. Candidate applications shouldinclude (1) A cover letter and detailed CV, (2) Statement ofprofessional interests and goals in research (up to 5 pagesincluding figures but excluding references), (3) Statement ofaspiration in teaching (up to 2 pages), (4) Three selectedpublications, and (5) Addresses of three or more references whowill provide recommendation letters, through the NTU careerportal.
