Roles & Responsibilities

The Real Madrid Foundation Football & Basketball School is the only major club in Singapore providing both football and basketball training for toddlers, children and youth up to 17 years old. The school seeks to develop players and leaders on and off the field with the methods and inspiration of Real Madrid, the sports club with the largest fan base in the world.

This is an unique opportunity to work with the best technical and business administration team of any sports entity in Singapore, and to learn our propietary training methodology blending Real Madrid philosophy and modern techniques. It is also a priveleged opportunity for any aspiring basketballer to represent an up and coming club while acquiring experience as a coach.

We are looking for energetic individuals who will thrive in a fast pace and exciting environment representing the top football club in the world, and also the top basketball club in Europe to:-

Responsibilities as a coach:

- Conduct age-appropriate basketball training sessions for young children, following the Real Madrid Foundation proprietary methodology. Sessions must be engaging and interactive, focusing on skill development, tactical understanding, and character building.

- Provide guidance and feedback to players, helping them improve their technical abilities, game understanding, and teamwork skills.

- Design and execute practice drills, exercises, and game simulations to enhance players' basketball skills and decision-making capabilities.

- Conduct training sessions on a contract basis, as per the agreed schedule.

- Collaborate with the full-time coaching staff to ensure consistency in training methodologies.

- Foster a positive and inclusive training environment that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, and a love for the game.

- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to participate in tournaments, friendly matches, and events.

- Ensure the safety and well-being of players during training sessions and matches.

Responsibilities as a player:

- Represent the club in league and tournament matches

- Maintain peak physical fitball and performance levels

- Act as a role model for youth players, both on and off the field

- Contribute to the team's overall success by demonstrating dedication and teamwork

- Attend training sessions, team meetings, and promotional events as required

Requirements:

- Not required but preferably relevant coaching certification or equivalent qualification.

- Passion for youth development, basketball, and instilling core values in young athletes.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with young players, parents, and staff.

- Ability to create a positive and motivating training environment.

- Competitive experience would be an advantage

This is a full time position. Freelance option available.
