Extend Networks (X10) is pioneering the concept of a fully integrated satellite and cellular based Network-as-a-Service infrastructure solution. This ground-breaking model was developed to meet the demanding business and mission critical needs. As part of our expansion, we are seeking an individual who is comfortable paving new ground to help manage our business and product operations cycles in the PRC region.


Job Description:

The Senior Product Manager will play a critical role in building relationships with key stakeholders, including strategic business partners and manufacturers. This person is responsible for understanding and managing product development cycles, new technologies or services, follow-on products or industries, partnerships, and alliances. Our R&D work is almost entirely performed in the PRC, this person develops and/or manages ongoing relationships between the X10 and partners by cultivating the positive relationships.


You will be a vital asset to our management team as the point of contact in the PRC as we work collectively in advancing our presence. As a technology business individual within the start-up organization, the successful candidate will need to possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit and be a self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A strong passion for satellite and cellular technologies is highly desirable and valuable.

Essential functions:

  • Work directly with strategic partners and internal teams to identify and lead implementation of process to scale the business while balancing resources.
  • Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to understand local practices, approaches, and concepts. Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the function or business area. This requires frequent briefings with executive team.
  • Understand the satcom community trends, current and future domestic market space, competitor's strategies and strengths; be able to research new markets and identify potential new target markets.
  • Communicate and drive product improvements across the business by working with various stakeholders in Application Software, Design, Product Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Support.
  • Hands-on experience is required in developing, integration, and functional testing, especially with our partners and alliances in the PRC.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the company's value proposition and in-space servicing solutions.
  • Flexibility to travel, up to 70% of domestic travel as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a combination of business and technical background is strongly desired.
  • Requires strong interpersonal communication skills – Spoken and written skills in English and Mandarin.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Willingness to dive deep into technical topics and data analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to jump into ill-defined problem spaces and drive positive outcomes with deep level analytical on the technical subjects.
  • Possess good knowledge of:
  1. Networking Fundamentals – Understanding TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, and network topology.
  2. Routing & Switching – Knowledge of protocols like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, etc.
  3. Firewall & Security – Experience with firewalls VPNs, and security best practices.
  4. Wireless Networking – Understanding Wi-Fi technologies, WLAN, and LTE/5G.
  5. Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting – Using tools like Wireshark, and PRTG.
  6. SDN & SD-WAN – Understanding software-defined networking and SD-WAN technologies.
  7. Load Balancing & WAN Optimization.
  8. Satellite Communication Systems: Knowledge of satellite orbits, link budgets, modulation techniques, multiple access schemes, and various subsystems within a satellite communication system is essential.
  9. RF Fundamentals: A deep understanding of RF principles.
  10. Able to use Spectrum Analyzer.
  • Self-starter attitude, energy, and the ability to communicate effectively across business and technical disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to apply first principles to business problems.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle and release process.
