We invite applications for theposition of Assistant Manager, Laboratory Services. The incumbentshall provide technical excellence across multiple laboratories inthe School of Electrical and ElectronicEngineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative/technicalsupport for all laboratory users.
  • Operatelaboratory equipment and carry out periodicmaintenance.
  • Procurement for laboratoryteaching and research labs.
  • Asset managementand maintaining proper records for inventoryauditing.
  • Provide technical support for allresearch/joint industrial projects.
  • Support allassigned laboratory teachingclasses.
  • Coordinate with facilities departmenton Centre infrastructure maintenance, upgrade, andrepair.
  • Implement robust communicationchannels, such as regular meetings, email updates, andcollaboration tools, to facilitate coordination and informationsharing across teams and researchcenters.
  • Experience in risk management,workplace safety and health (i.e. ISO 45001) is aplus.
  • Assist the Safety Committee on laboratorysafety matters.
  • To establish internal controlsand procedures on the school laser and Bio safetymanagement.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties asassigned by theschool.


Requirements:
  • ADegree in Electrical and Electronic or related engineeringdiscipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevantexperiences.
  • Knowledges in chemistry andbiotechnology is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solvingskills and attention to detail.
  • Stronganalytical skills and an effective communicator with excellentinterpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated,initiative, proactive.
  • Capable of workingindependently while also being a strong team player with leadershipskills.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver workwith high level of accuracy andtimeliness.
