Responsibility

  • Accountable for ensuring the FPSO is designed and constructed in compliance with all local and international regulatory requirements and ensure they are all verified and compliance is documented
  • Identify all laws and governmental regulations impacting the project and operations and effectively manage these requirements to ensure that the facility’s configuration, capabilities, and operational procedures fully comply with the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop a Regulatory Compliance Plan and ensure implementation.
  • Prepare documentation to support the client and/or the client's designated regulatory and environmental contractor(s) with the development of applications, submittals, responses, inquiries, etc., to support permits, licenses, and approvals for the Project being obtained by the client and/or client's designated regulatory and environmental
  • Maintain an up-to-date Catalogue of Applicable Laws and Regulations. Identify and classify Individual Requirements
  • Communicate requirements to the functional areas and monitor implementation and verification of requirements.
  • Audit the project and monitor the implementation of requirements
  • Coordinate project activities related to Regulatory Compliance.
  • Ensure all necessary regulatory activities are progressed and finalized for the FPSO
  • Identify non-contracted stakeholders associated with the FPSO scope and maintain dialogue with them throughout the design and construction phase.
  • Apply strict control over any proposed changes and procedures.
  • Managing FPSO compliance risks
  • Plan and Manage Internal Regulatory Compliance Audits.
  • Coordinate and Manage External Regulatory Compliance Audits.
  • Provide Weekly and Monthly updates to the Regulatory Compliance Activities.
  • Be responsible for the Monthly Meeting to review the status of Regulatory Compliance.
  • Act as owner of the “Regulatory Requirements Register”.
  • Review Laws and Regulations and determine applicability (Support from Engineering Managers and Quality Managers).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. safety, engineering). Advanced Degree is preferred.
  • 10 + years of experience in the oil and gas exploration and production industry
  • Experience in regulatory compliance in the oil and gas exploration and production industry
