Roles & Responsibilities

The Head of IT Infrastructure will be responsible for overseeing the planning, deployment, and maintenance of technology infrastructures to support our highly automated supply chain operations. Acting as a strategic bridge between the Supply Chain IT Head and the Fairprice Group IT infrastructure team, this role will ensure seamless integration and modernization of our warehouse infrastructure, including server room migrations, and enable efficient warehouse automation. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality execution of infrastructure strategies and projects to meet the technical demands of a modern, automated warehouse environment, supporting critical supply chain operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Leadership: Partner with the CIO and Supply Chain IT Head to lead the technology infrastructure strategy and execution, focusing on automation-driven warehousing environments.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, migration, and modernization of warehouse server rooms, ensuring scalability and reliability to support heavy automation and advanced supply chain technologies.
  • Innovation and Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for infrastructure automation, cost savings, and performance improvement, enabling warehouse automation at scale.
  • Infrastructure Architecture & Governance: Develop and maintain enterprise infrastructure standards, ensuring a robust governance process aligned with the company's strategic goals and supply chain automation needs.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Evaluate and manage key vendor relationships, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class infrastructure technologies. Lead governance with partners to create value and ensure alignment with operational goals.
  • Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Design and implement highly available, redundant infrastructure systems, including disaster recovery architecture to ensure minimal downtime for warehouse operations.
  • 24/7 Operations Oversight: Provide leadership for 24/7 service operations, ensuring compliance with KPIs and SLAs to meet business-critical supply chain demands.
  • Collaboration with Business Applications: Work closely with the Business Applications team to ensure infrastructure support for SAP, Microsoft stacks, and other core systems in a production, high-availability environment.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in network and data security, including managing data protection across multi-country environments.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of total experience, with at least 5+ years in a 24/7 high-availability, multi-site infrastructure environment, supporting large-scale technology transformations and cloud-based solutions, preferably in supply chain or ecommerce industry.
  • Proven expertise in modernizing and migrating server rooms, with hands-on experience in designing and executing strategic server room migrations to support automation-driven environments.
  • Experience in optimizing infrastructure for high-performance and reliable warehouse automation systems is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing infrastructure in a complex organization, including multi-country setups, VLAN configurations, and data protection strategies.
  • Strong technical expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform. Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration of cloud services with on-premises infrastructure is essential.
  • Deep knowledge of network communications (Cisco-based), storage area networks (SAN), disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance and best practices in application, network security, and data protection.
