NTU is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to joinour dynamic team in Office of Development and FacilitiesManagement. The department oversees the physical development andmaintenance of all University buildings and grounds in support ofthe academic, research and administrative functions of theUniversity. As the Assistant Manager, Building & FacilitiesMaintenance, you are responsible for the management of buildingsand building services in the Academic/Residential Zones, ensuringthey remain fully functional and operational at alltimes.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Plan andsupervise maintenance activities to ensure inspection programmesand preventive maintenance works are carried out as planned and inaccordance with standards expected. Follow up promptly oncorrective maintenance works to minimise downtime and maintain asafe environment.
  • Manage and supervise dailyand cyclical cleaning programs, conduct regular inspections andmonthly performance assessment to ensure cleaning standards aremet.
  • Manage upgrading and improvement works,understand scope and requirements, develop work proposals andestimate associated costs. Oversee procurement of services,supervise work progress and ensure materials and workmanship meetstandards. Review and track site progress through meetings andinspections to meet user's project completiontimeline.
  • Manage and supervise BCA periodicstructural and façade inspections conducted by appointed QualifiedPerson according to planned schedule and follow up withrectification of identified defects.
  • Engagewith event organisers upon event notification and gather eventsupport requirements. Manage and supervise logistical setup andtechnical support as required.
  • Identifyimprovement works, maintenance needs and cyclical maintenanceprogrammes and derive budget required for Office of CampusHousing.
  • Oversee other tasksassigned.


Requirements:
  • Degreein Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services,Facilities Management or equivalent from a recognized tertiaryinstitution with at least 5 years' work experience in the buildingor facilities management industry
  • Goodknowledge in building services design, installation andmaintenance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office,such as Excel, Word andPowerPoint
  • Self-motivated, positive workingattitude and customer-oriented
  • Good oral andwritten communication and interpersonalskills
  • Ability to work with different levels ofpeople.
