Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Senior Facility Executive / Assistant Manager / Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of facilities such as dormitories, chalets, and hospitality sites. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Facility Management and possess MEC qualifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.


Key Responsibilities


1. Facility Operations & Maintenance

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the assigned facilities, ensuring smooth functionality and high operational efficiency.
  • Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Monitor and manage energy efficiency, sustainability initiatives, and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance, repair, and renovation works.

2. Supervision & Team Management

  • Lead and supervise a team of technicians, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel to ensure high service standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all facilities meet safety, cleanliness, and operational requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff to enhance technical knowledge and service quality.

3. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with Building and Construction Authority (BCA) regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards, and fire safety requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols for emergency preparedness.
  • Liaise with relevant government agencies and regulatory bodies for necessary permits, audits, and inspections.

4. Budget & Cost Management

  • Assist in the preparation and management of operational budgets for facilities maintenance and improvement works.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Review service contracts and negotiate with vendors for optimal pricing and service levels.

5. Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, guests, and stakeholders regarding facility-related matters.
  • Address and resolve complaints or operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that facilities are well-maintained to enhance user experience and satisfaction.


Requirements

Education & Qualifications

Degree in Facility Management AND with MEC.


MEC Qualification from one of the following institutions:

  1. BCA Academy: Advanced National Building Qualification in i) Supervision & Coordination in M&E Works ii) Green Building Operations & Maintenance / Certificate or Specialist Dip in M&E Coordination / Dip in Mechanical Engineering (Green Building Technology)
  2. Ngee Ann Polytechnic: Dip in i) Building Services Engineering ii) Technology (Building Services) iii) Technology (Building Services & Fire Safety) iv) Engineering (Building Services & Fire Safety)
  3. Temasek Polytechnic: Dip in i) Green Building & Sustainability ii) Intelligent Building Technology
  4. Personnel accredited in Tier 1 to 4 of Facilities Management accreditation scheme by SIFMA

Experience & Skills

At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in facility management, preferably in dormitories, chalets, or hospitality operations.

Strong knowledge of M&E systems, green building operations, and fire safety regulations.
