About the Team

E-commerceis a new and fast growing business that aims at connecting allcustomers to excellent sellers and quality products on TikTok Shop,through E-commerce live-streaming, E-commerce short videos, andcommodity recommendation. Our E-commerce Recommendation Infra teamis responsible for building up and optimizing the infrastructurefor such recommendation systems, so as to provide the bestexperience for our users. We work closely with applied machinelearning engineers and build scalable systems to support all kindsof innovative algorithms and techniques.

Responsibilities

-Design and implement a reasonable offline data architecture forlarge-scale recommendation systems

- Design andimplement flexible, scalable, and high-performance storage andcomputing systems

- Trouble-shooting of theproduction system, design and implement the necessary mechanismsand tools to ensure the stability of the overall operation of theproduction system

- Build industry-leadingdistributed systems such as storage and computing to providereliable infrastructure for massive data and large-scale businesssystems

- Develop and implement techniques andanalytics applications to transform raw data into meaningfulinformation using data-oriented programming languages andvisualisation software

- Apply data mining, datamodelling, natural language processing, and machine learning toextract and analyse information from large structured andunstructured datasets

- Visualise, interpret,and report data findings and may create data reports aswell

Qualifications

Minimumqualifications:

- Final year or recent graduatewith a background in Software Development, Computer Science,Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technicaldiscipline.

- Familiar with many open sourceframeworks in the field of big data, e.g.Hadoop, Hive,Flink,FlinkSQL,Spark, Kafka, HBase, Redis, RocksDB, ElasticSearchetc.

- Familiar with Java, C ++ and otherprogramming languages

- Strong coding andtrouble shooting ability

PreferredQualification:

- Agile, quick self learner,highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership andcreative problem solver.

- Good collaborator andteam player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturallydiverse and globally distributed team environment.
