We are looking for aSenior Research Fellow in Microelectronics Failure Analysis andReliability to be the lead researcher in a new industry-sponsoredproject. The role will focus on carrying out failure analysis ofvarious semiconductor devices, from silicon to III-V compoundsemiconductors, to understand the root cause of failure, as well asconduct reliability tests andanalysis.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Lead anindustry-funded project focusing on device reliability testing andfailure analysis.
  • Analyze and manage large anddiverse datasets from reliability tests, presenting distilledinsights and constructiverecommendations.
  • Develop and implement advancedcharacterization and failure analysis methodologies to improvedevice performance and reliability of Si and III-V semiconductordevices.
  • Collaborate with academic/researchinstitutions and industry partners to enhance understanding offailure mechanisms in Si and III-V semiconductordevices.
  • Prepare reports and presentations forproject updates
  • Publish research findings inpeer-reviewed journals and present at internationalconferences.
  • Provide mentorship toundergraduate/postgraduate students in researchactivities.
  • Assist in research proposalwriting
  • Support in lab management matters,including lab safety, equipment maintenance, procurement ofmaterials


JobRequirements:
  • A PhD inMaterials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relatedfield.
  • At least 8 years of research experienceafter PhD
  • At least 4 years of experience withSi or III-V semiconductor device failure analysis and reliabilitytesting.
  • Strong knowledge of Si/III-Vsemiconductor device physics, particularly fabrication processes,is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with advancedfailure analysis techniques, such as wet/plasma etching andanalytical tools (e.g., SEM, FIB-SEM, TEM, PEM, andAFM).
  • Handson experience with electrical devicecharacterization and/or acceleratedstressing
  • Ability to prepare detailed technicalreports and presentations, confidently defending data analysis andconclusions during technicaldiscussions.
  • Ability to build rapport andinfluence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability towork collaboratively in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Self-driven and capable of meetingdeadlines with high-qualityoutcomes.
