The Manager of Group Risk Management (Risk Strategy & Assurance) position is a dynamic, hands-on role within the Group Risk Management division. The successful candidate will manage and support critical functions designed to enhance risk strategy and assurance at Singtel. This position is pivotal in driving systematic, disciplined, and influential risk management practices across the organization, directly contributing to achieving our business objectives.

Risk Strategy & Assurance:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Group Risk Strategy & Assurance, focusing on enhancing the firm's risk management culture and processes across all business units.
  • Lead or support group-wide risk management initiatives, actively partnering with business units to ensure integration with existing processes and effective program execution.

Scope of Work Includes:

  • Promoting a robust risk management culture and enhancing risk monitoring capabilities aligned with immediate and long-term organisational objectives.
  • Developing, managing, and enforcing risk policies and standards, ensuring consistent implementation across all business functions.
  • Contributing to implementing an Enterprise Risk Management system by providing insights into risk profiling, practical guidance, quality monitoring dashboards, and escalation principles for risks.
  • Managing and enhancing the horizon scanning framework through collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive risk identification and mitigation.
  • Identifying relevant Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and collaborating with internal stakeholders for effective data acquisition.
  • Designing, facilitating, and conducting training sessions, workshops, and webinars to increase awareness and education about various risk programs.
  • Overseeing, preparing, and updating risk registers and reports, summarising key risks and mitigations, identifying gaps in policies, standards or procedures, and action plans for mitigation.
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects, including collaboration on scenario planning and integrating AI solutions in risk assessment models.
  • Designing, implementing, and rolling out an incident management framework to strengthen organisational response capabilities and analysis.
  • Supporting other Governance teams in rolling out policies, standards and programs to comply with Group Risk Management Policies and Standards.

 

Skills for Success:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, IT or Engineering.
  • Proven experience in defining, implementing, and drafting risk management policies and standards.
  • Demonstrated history of change leadership and transformation program within a multinational organisation.
  • Solid ability to organise, summarise and present complex information effectively.
  • Experience in leading scenario planning exercises and validating risk measurement models.
  • Experience in audit and assurance management.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 31000, COSO).
  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and presentation capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) principles.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Self-driven, resilient, and adaptable to evolving priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, comfortable interacting with all levels of management.
  • Good to have an in-depth understanding of how geopolitical events impact the telecommunications / ICT industry. These include the technology risks, competition and transformation developments in the telecommunications/ ICT industry, environmental hazards, and regulatory risks.
