AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for a world class candidate to help accelerate modernization with AWS Partners. As Modernization Partner Lead for APJ, you will be responsible for driving top line Modernization wins and revenue through Partners across all market segments leveraging MAP and other partner programs. The ideal candidate has either worked as a Partner Development Leader or a Practice leader on application, data and infrastructure modernization initiatives with cloud technologies. The right candidate will have demonstrated business development and solution selling experience at enterprise CxO levels, an experience in developing programmatic approaches to scaling a consulting business, strong project management skills, a collaborative approach, experience driving field/internal enablement, a strong data and metrics bias, a good understanding of cloud, and a passion for helping customers transform their business with modern compute. You have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about partner business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. You will work with AWS partner management and consulting partner executives to drive results through short and long-range Partner GTM plans for modernization.
Key job responsibilities
Have a holistic and deep understanding benefits of modern platforms and modernization to customers and to partners. Drive closer alignment with AWS APJ Partner Migrations team.
Engage C-level partner executives to define and communicate the AWS value proposition and benefit of building an modernization practice with AWS that includes dedicated headcount, solutions, offerings, customer engagement mechanisms, commercial models that accelerate at-scale modernization.
Dive deep with partners to build technical capabilities, help build practices to deliver services and solutions using AWS.
Triangulate on strategic deals with the AWS Sales, Consulting Partner teams, and AWS ProServe.
Define and execute on Quarterly Goals, track against them and communicate to internal stakeholders
Advise customers and commercial sales teams on the value of partners and recommend qualified partners to support customer needs.
Enable AWS internal partner development teams to drive at scale GTM with partners.
Expand existing AWS footprint as well as drive new customer engagements with partners to grow overall revenue with a focus on business outcomes.
Develop mechanisms to scale GTM WW, including consultative workshops, reference materials, partner engagements, linkages to other AWS programs.
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial and technical goals

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of experience in sales and business development in the software industry 5+ years of program management
5+ years experience in technology transformation, with experiences in cloud-led technology change program(s) in a leadership capacity.
Conceptual technology depth and experience with Modern Application development.
Prior experience managing strategic, at-scale partnerships and working with account management, product management, program management and business development groups is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Effective verbal, written communications skills, and interpersonal skills.
5+ years of experience working with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams including direct and channel marketing, solution architect teams, product management and account management teams.
Ability to effectively lead and work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
We seek candidates with effective collaboration skills with the ability to interact with senior leadership (e.g. CxO’s).
AWS Certification is a plus (i.e. Cloud Practitioner). Knowledge of AWS Modern Service, Computer Science, global alliance leadership, and sales account management experience are a plus.
