The Dean’s Office, Faculty of Science and the Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions at the National University of Singapore is seeking a highly motivated, passionate individual to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies and partnerships that will support the Faculty of Science and the Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions’ research, teaching and outreach programmes. This is an opportunity to become a vital contributor to the NUS ecosystem by playing a critical role in the fundraising and partnership efforts for both new and ongoing projects. You will be part of the Partnerships and Development team that builds relationships to expand the world’s knowledge and lay the scientific groundwork for breakthroughs to make a positive impact on science and climate change goals. The appointment is for an initial period of one year with the possibility of renewal. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following –

• Work closely with the Faculty of Science and the Centre’s leadership team to develop and implement fundraising strategies that align with the Faculty and Centre’s vision and goals.
• Support the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of relationships with prospective donors, including individuals, corporations and foundations.
• Work with internal stakeholders to develop and articulate gift ideas, donor-centric proposals, decks, and other collateral for various fundraising needs.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that the Faculty of Science gift administration is carried out in accordance with NUS policies and procedures. 
• Actively maintain a database of gift cases, including information on progress, key deliverables, and stewardship requirements.
• Manage and steward a portfolio of donors, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and communication.
• Assist in developing, organising, and providing logistical support for donor-related and partner-related events.
• Develop and manage partnerships with organizations, businesses and other institutions to advance the Centre’s mission and goals.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements/Other Info

• A degree with at least three years of work experience, preferably in a fundraising, research or similar capacity.
• Demonstrated experience in fundraising, project management or other relevant areas such as marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, business administration or relationship building roles would be advantageous.
• For candidates without non-profit experience, a proven ability to learn new skills and apply them to new environments will be considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and communicate conceptually detailed and complex information in a clear and effective manner.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Highly collaborative, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. 
• A self-motivated, enthusiastic team-player.
• Passion for science, the environment and education.

– Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies. 

– The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
