DESIGNATION : Software Engineer, Android

RESPONSIBILITIES
NE Digital is currently hiring for Android Software Engineer to join Digital Product Development.NE Digital, the Centre of Excellence for Data, Digitalisation and Technology, strives to drive thedigital transformation of the NTUC Enterprise group of social enterprises and is committed toimproving families' lives in Singapore. The Digital Product Development (DPD) team of softwareengineers build and run essential technologies such as Grocery, Pricing, Seller, Fulfilment, andLoyalty. We are excited by short feedback loops and strive to always deliver a better experiencefor our customers. The DPD teams set standards and align frameworks used in NTUC’s TechStack to ensure consistency and deepen expertise across all products created for the differentsocial enterprises, which elevates our Developers' Experience to enable Quality at Speed forNE Digital.You will be reporting to the Team Lead of Digital Product Development.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean codeGather specific requirements and suggest solutionsWrite unit and UI tests to identify malfunctionsTroubleshoot and debug to optimize performanceDesign interfaces to improve user experienceLiaise with the Product development team to plan new featuresEnsure new and legacy applications meet quality standardsResearch and suggest new mobile products, applications and protocolsStay up-to-date with new technology trends

QUALIFICATIONS
Proven work experience as a Mobile developerPortfolio of released applications on the Play storeKnowledge of programming language, KotlinContinuous Integration with a build system like GradleContinuous Deployment directly on Google Play StoreExperienced with third-party libraries and APIsExperience with agile development methodologiesWrote unit tests as a software engineer
