The Business Planning Manager serves as a key business partner to the Enterprise Product team, offering financial insights and strategic guidance to enhance decision-making and drive business performance. This role is essential for overseeing the financial performance of the business, focusing on OPEX, EBITDA, and CAPEX reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

 

The manager delivers critical insights to senior leadership, supports strategic decision-making, and drives cost efficiencies. Additionally, the role involves leading the Annual Risk Assessment, identifying critical risks and assets, and developing effective mitigation strategies to safeguard the Enterprise Product business.

 

The position also includes improving financial processes, aligning reporting across departments, and driving efficiency improvements. A significant part of the role is fostering team collaboration through planning and executing internal events, such as team-building activities and communication workshops. This role is crucial for ensuring financial health, operational resilience, and a strong, engaged team culture.

 

Make an Impact by:

 

  • Prepare monthly rolling forecasts and the annual operating plan for OPEX, EBITDA, and CAPEX, focusing on cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor OPEX and CAPEX KPIs, track progress toward targets, and address any budget overruns.
  • Develop financial models and templates for OPEX and CAPEX feedback, prepare comprehensive presentations for the VP, and manage submissions on behalf of the Enterprise Product team.
  • Plan, lead, and execute internal events to enhance team engagement and collaboration, while assessing event success and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support the operational requirements of the business and assist in ensuring proper internal control systems
  • Involved in the risk assessment process, identify critical risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.

 

Skills for Success:

 

  • Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance or Business Administrative, Economics from a recognised university
  • 5 to 8 years of experience
  • Financial Acumen with ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Accountancy, Finance and Business
  • Software and tools including Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Tableau and PowerBI
  • Strong analytical skills with a good eye for detail.
  • Keen interest in the business and its operations and processes. Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, and to meet critical deadlines.
  • Demonstrates strong skills in working independently while also effectively collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication / writing ability and able to communicate complex concepts to persons of various backgrounds
  • The ability to lead, communicate clearly, think creatively, solve problems, build strong relationships, manage time effectively, pay meticulous attention to detail, and empathize with participants is essential for event planning
