Job Overview
A Commercial Specialist bring the best of the full breadth of Oliver Wyman to our clients more consistently and closely with our Partners and Principals at the commercial stages of the project lifecycle. The role builds and maintains key relationships with our most important clients across the region, seeking opportunities for us to deliver maximum impact for our clients. Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for pre-sales/demand generation activities such as content generation in terms of proposal development and project approach support, joining pitches as well as workshops/client engagements
- Within active engagements, up and cross-selling the firmâs capabilities such as opportunity identification, stakeholder identification and communications as well as liaising with project team to surface opportunities for cross-practice collaboration.
- Involve in post-project activities such as liaising with project leadership to inform write-ups/cases for Knowledge Management and Marketing, ensure OW CRM accurately reflects the commercial contracts and follow-on opportunity mapping as well as present project work internally and where applicable, externally to new clients.
A suitable candidate will have:
- Experience technology sales, business development and account management
- Minimum 8+ years relevant, professional experience dealing with the financial services industry
- Solid history of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Evidence of being data led in decision making and targeting
- Solid history of supporting, building, driving and hosting marketing events and activities
- Strong history of accurate forecasting, relationship building, pipeline building
Additional skills and requirements:
- Strong experience in technology consulting and pre-sales
- Good forecasting, demand and pipeline management
- Good proposal building and contract management
- Ability to consistently monitor ongoing projects to ensure client impact promise is met
- Ability to engage with third parties for go-to-market opportunities
- Ability to build strong partnership relationships for go-to-market opportunities
- Ability to identify growth markets and segments, and penetrate those markets
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment
- Good commercial and business acumen
- Ability to balance strategic work with tactical goals
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset
