Position Overview 

The CFO & COO is a senior leadership role that reports to the Chief Financial Officer International Finance and is accountable to the President APAC. The role is responsible for coordinating the strategic planning and development of the APAC businesses, including networks, streaming, content licensing and consumer products and ensuring alignment with the global Theatrical vision and ambitions.


The role is also responsible for the financial management, analysis and reporting of the APAC businesses, providing strategic and commercial insights, whilst driving operational excellence and efficiency. The CFO & COO is a key leader for the President APAC and a partner for the APAC management team, the global Finance organisation, and other global functions such as DTC, Tech, Procurement, etc. The role is involved in business development and M&A activities, as well as integration and coordination of operational functions.

Key Responsibilities 

Chief Financial Officer 

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and own the financial results of APAC

  • Provide unbiased partnership and ensure business opportunities are pursued and executed efficiently and effectively

  • Develop strategic and financial insights from disciplined and innovative analytics

  • Work as a member of a cross-functional APAC leadership team to achieve financial targets

  • Own the monthly financial review and performance analysis of the APAC businesses

  • Drive results through managing and executing strategic priorities and operational initiatives

  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of Finance leaders

  • Maintain robust and integrated operational and long-term models and associated analytics

  • Maintain budgeting & forecasting financial processes and support strategic financial planning for APAC businesses

  • Lead the continuous improvement of WBDâs capabilities working closely with the corporate FP&A team as well as accounting

Chief Operational Officer 

  • Partner with President APAC to articulate a clear strategic plan for the business and the consumer offering, in collaboration with APAC management team, Global Streaming and other international stakeholders

  • Lead and execute against key strategic priorities and operational initiatives across the APAC region to drive efficiencies and growth opportunities

  • Play a key leadership role in business development and work in close collaboration with Commercial Strategy and Corporate Development on inorganic growth opportunities aligned to the strategic plan

  • Partner with the President APAC to lead and coordinate inter-dependencies with WBDâs global functions (Theatrical, Tours & Retail, GTE etc.)

  • Revenue, Costs, AOIBDA & Free Cash Flow relating to APAC

  • Shared KPIs: Advertising and Affiliate Distribution Revenue, Content Sales Revenue, Cost, AOIBDA, Free Cash Flow, Streaming Revenue, Subscriber Acquisition, Churn/Retention, SAC and some costs

Profile (The essentials) 

  • Extensive experience in financial management, analysis and reporting, and business planning, with strong strategic, analytical and finance skills

  • Previous experience leading FP&A and related teams developing strategic insights and analytics in a consumer facing, digital business required

  • Experience in the media business, including streaming

  • Ambitious and wants to win

  • Project management leading and executing against diverse operational projects from beginning to end

  • Experience with corporate development, leading both organic and inorganic growth strategies

  • Comfort with data-based decision-making and managing KPIs

  • Connects with groups large and small - charismatic and engaging

  • Great leadership capabilities â loves mentoring, connecting & inspiring

  • Strong English language skills preferred
