Your role
Are you passionate about delivering building robust and scalable software in a Mainframe Environment? As a part of an agile team of software engineers delivering software with latest technology standards:
– facilitate current development practices in a legacy environment
– analyze business requirements, design and implement solutions, and develop software components
– test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
– support in resolving defects and prepare fixes to be installed into test- and production systems, incl. L3 support on production incidents
– make sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before handover
– collaborate with other global IT teams
Your team
You’ll be working in Singapore, being part of an agile Pod, partnering with other Pod members located in Zurich and Manila. With our product Client Position we belong to a Crew within API Banking & Client Reporting, owning a core solution with a lot of predecessor and successor applications. The role will engage with other agile roles like Software Engineer, Product Owner or Scrum Master.
Your expertise
You have:
– experience as COBOL developer in the mainframe environment
– ideally worked previously in a banking environment
– z/OS knowledge, preferably also JCL and DB2/SQL skills
– experience with Git as version control system
– preferably experience with CICS web services
– preferably worked with Change- and Configuration-Management-Software like Serena ChangeMan
– strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
– worked in an agile development team

You are:
– able to improve older code bases, as well as apply modern best practices to new projects
– curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a team
– fluent in English, German speaking is an advantage
