Overview

Operation Executive role at Inchcape Shipping Services.

Responsibilities
  • Port Call Planning / Execution: Communicate, plan and execute port call planning; understand port call requirements and expectations of Principal/Ship Master; execute port call turnaround in the most cost-effective and expeditious manner; closely monitor and update stakeholders on port call progress; ensure Principal’s best interests are always protected.
  • Effective Communication: Concise and timely communication with authorised recipients and stakeholders, including routine pre-arrival, progress port call updates and post-call follow-ups.
  • Statutory Declarations of a Port Call: Timely and truthful declarations to relevant government agencies relating to vessel calls (e.g., Immigration and Checkpoint Authorities, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, Customs and Excise Department, National Environment Agency, security/enforcement agencies, and facility operators).
  • On-Site Coordination: Physical attendance onboard ships or sites when necessary, providing on-site coordination of services and deliveries.
  • Provide Local Expert Advice: Stay updated on port regulations, industry developments and ISS policies and procedures.
  • HSSE/Legal Compliance: Ensure all services comply with local regulations and ISS policies/procedures.
  • Training: Timely completion of trainings assigned.
  • Utilisation of ISS Systems: Ensure full utilisation of ISS systems (ONEDA and Optics) according to Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Maritime Operations knowledge
  • Local law and regulations knowledge
  • Local industry knowledge
  • Hard skills (Intermediate): MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, Port and Immigration documentation, Written and spoken English
  • Soft skills (Intermediate): Effective Communication, Integrity, Interpersonal skills, Responsibility, Planning and Delivery
Experience
  • At least 1 year of working experience in either ship agency service industry with track records, in Oil/Gas/Offshore industry, or as Engine or Deck Cadet.
