Overview The Data Office supports the development of PUB’s data capabilities in three domains. It plans PUB’s data analytics infrastructure, executes projects to implement the required systems and manages the systems for PUB’s use. It also drives the adoption of data science across PUB by working with business units to develop Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) solutions in-house. The Data Executive will join the Data Governance team. The Data Governance team strives towards improving data discoverability and sharing in PUB through the provision of good quality data without compromising data security. It also oversees data governance to ensure compliance with whole-of-government requirements and other directives and is involved in promoting the use of data properly and securely across PUB. Responsibilities Work with Data Stewards to put together the Data Dictionary (Metadata) and Data Catalogue for key PUB datasets to increase data discoverability and facilitate data sharing within PUB Conduct data quality assessments for key PUB datasets Organise data engagement activities to promote data management awareness and capability building Assist with the tracking of data sharing requests Qualifications Diploma (in any discipline) is preferred Self-driven and motivated individual who is result-oriented Strong oral and written communication skills, comfortable with stakeholder management Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proficiency in R or Python would be an advantage Good problem-solving skills Background in data governance, data quality, data science, digital transformation, or relevant training/certification (e.g. Udemy, Coursera) would be an advantage Experience in data dictionary, data catalogue and data quality management would be an advantage Successful applicants will be contacted within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting About PUB, The National Water Agency PUB is an organisation that is recognised internationally for good water management.
