About the role Affinity Pain Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Nurse (Enrolled Nurse/ Staff Nurse) to join our team in Farrer Park, Central Region. As a Clinic Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art pain management facility. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work alongside our experienced medical team and contribute to the overall well-being of our patients. The weekly working schedule is 5.5 days: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (with a one-hour lunch break daily), Saturday 8:30am - 12:30pm. What you'll be doing Handles front desk registration of patients, schedules medical appointments, dispenses medications and consumables and collects payments. Assists doctors and other healthcare professionals in patient examinations and procedures. Verifies patient insurance coverage and assists with the application process for insurance claims. Monitors patient vital signs and provides ongoing observation and support. Maintains accurate and detailed patient records, including documenting care, treatments, and changes in condition. Coordinates with the wider healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care. Maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment. Ensures high-quality customer service, manages phone calls, reply emails, and handles supplies. On call and hold clinic phone (alternate) to respond to necessary questions. PERFORM any other related nursing duties when required. What we're looking for A registered nurse with a valid practicing certificate (required) and a minimum of 1 year's experience in a nursing role (preferred). Strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate patient records. A caring and compassionate nature, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of a dynamic healthcare environment.
