Overview

Job Description — Responsibilities include helping to manage DZ BANK's well-established client relationship in Asia/Pacific and acquiring new clients according to the Capital Markets strategy of DZ BANK; promoting DZ BANK's unique position in the German three-pillar banking system and leveraging our distribution capabilities into the firm\'s captive network of around 700 cooperative banks, Union Investment (2nd largest asset manager in Germany) and R&V Insurance (2nd largest German life insurer); working with the local Head of Debt Origination Asia-Pacific, local Representative Offices, Relationship Managers, Sales and Research to build and further expand the Asia-Pacific franchise in order to achieve the given budget figures.

Advise clients on funding opportunities in primary bond markets, identify arbitrage opportunities between USD and EUR and discuss secondary market trends as well as regulatory developments. Collaborate with our DCM ESG-team to advise clients on sustainability topics in order to win structuring mandates for ESG-frameworks as well as bookrunner roles on use of proceeds and target linked-sustainability bonds. Pitch, plan and execute debt roadshows in Europe and Asia, market conferences and events. Execute benchmarks and private placements to the fullest satisfaction of the clients and in adherence with all regulations & procedures. Products include: Covered Bonds, Senior Unsecured Bonds, Subordinated Bonds (mainly Tier 2), Schuldscheindarlehen, Certificate of Deposits, CPs, in benchmark and/or private placement format as well as swaps in relation to clients\' primary market activities.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in Economics or Business Administration or comparable qualifications
  • More than 5 years of work experience in debt capital markets, treasury, fixed income research or relationship management
  • A previous client-facing role or existing relationships to our APAC clients are an additional benefit
  • Experience in bond and swap markets as well as a good understanding of current ESG developments in capital markets
  • Good knowledge of the strategies to win wholesale business from institutional clients
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements of capital markets business
  • Strong Bloomberg and IT skills, in particular in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills combined with high negotiation competence and assertiveness
  • Pronounced client orientation, intercultural competence, creativity and pro-activeness
  • Performance-oriented team player with strong communication skills and sense of responsibility
  • Fluency in English as well as Korean is required for customer coverage
  • Completion of M1B, M4B, M6, M6A, FMRP Exams would be an advantage
