Objective:The Care Professional is expected to perform a variety of duties that relate to client care that include non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their homes while receiving care. These services are meant to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Care Professional help clients, and their families meet the challenges of ageing with dignity, pride, care, and compassion.Primary Responsibilities:\t\t\t\t\t\t\t• \tProvide professional and culturally appropriate care and taking the lead to support seniors to live as independently as possible at home• \tTailor individualised care to suit the personal needs of our individual clients• \tPerform simple daily routine nursing procedures when required• \tEnsure the safety and wellbeing of seniors• \tProvide personal care to seniors, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL):\tpersonal hygiene care (washing, showering / bed bath)\ttoileting and incontinence issues\tdressing and personal grooming\tmobility and transferring\tfeeding• \tCheck on vital signs and administering oral medication • \tMaintain clear and legible documentation and records• \tProvide companionship, conversation, and emotional support• \tRemind and assist in oral medication• \tEscort to medical appointments and other social activities• \tPerform light housekeeping tasks & general home support when necessary• \tAssist in grocery shopping & light meal preparation• \tAssist in simple maintenance exercises• \tFacilitate mind stimulating and recreational activitiesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • \tCertification in professional caregiving, healthcare assistant or other relevant qualifications (training & OJT will be provided for those who do not have relevant qualification)• \tHands-on care experience especially caring for seniors a plus• \tFluent in written and spoken English and able to converse in dialects or native language• \tAbility to listen and communicate effectively • \tMust be patient and compassionate • \tAbility to work independently• \tHave effective interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships with seniors and their families• \tAble to use simple MS WordLivera Care Livera Care specialises in helping seniors who need care at home and nurturing professionals who want to help in our community.
