Job Description: Staff Nurse
Responsibilities
- Nursing related duties such as setting of drips, taking of blood samples, insertion of cannula, giving medication and other duties generally associated with the duties of a nurse
- General administrative duties including but not limited to filing, update of patient database, mailing, arranging of courier services and inventory check of drugs kept at nursing station, endoscopy room and emergency trolley etc
- Assist doctor in the operating theatre or to examine patients, to visit patient in hospital and follow up with hospital nurses on patient hospitalization enquiries
- Delivering the best patient care at all times in a manner that keeps up the name of the Company
- Responsible for involving the regular check-ups or monitoring of the patient’s statistics and condition
- Assisting the doctors of the group of companies in performing non-invasive procedures
- Familiarity with the medication available in the group of companies, and related companies
- Serves as a resource person for knowledge of medication uses, side effects and dosage
- Regular upkeep and maintenance of all the equipment under your charge
- Ensure that nursing counter and procedure rooms are neat and clean
- Assist in patient registration as well as patient coordination
- Accurate, precise and legible nursing documentation
- Infection control practice, standard and transmission precaution, isolation care and reverse isolation care, disposal of sharps/waste/linen
- Exercise of economy, proper use and care in the use of equipment and supplies
- Any other ad-hoc duties
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
- Post qualification nursing experience
- Valid Singapore nursing board registration
- Able to work in a multicultural team
- Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Continue professional development activities, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain meticulous records
