Singapore Delaware County Christian School Part time

Phileo Shared Services is currently looking for a dedicated Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take charge of the financial strategy and oversight for our partner Christian schools. As the CFO, you will directly report to the Head of School and will have a crucial role in ensuring the financial well-being, compliance, and long-term viability of our partner schools. This position offers remote work flexibility with the possibility of occasional in-person meetings as required.Your responsibilities will include providing strategic financial leadership by overseeing the financial strategy and planning for Phileo Shared Services partner schools. You will offer financial guidance to school heads and boards to guarantee sustainability and alignment with the mission. Additionally, you will assess and improve financial systems and controls to support school growth and operational excellence.You will be responsible for directing the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts, monitoring and reporting on actuals versus budget performance, and guiding schools through strategic financial planning and tuition modeling. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, accounting standards (GAAP), and reporting requirements, preparing and presenting financial reports to school boards and leadership teams, and overseeing all internal and external reporting processes.In the role of CFO, you will lead the preparation and execution of annual audits for partner schools, collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting, and identify areas of financial and operational risk while implementing mitigation strategies. You will also supervise the finance team, including controllers, accounting assistants, and other support staff as assigned, fostering a collaborative and service-oriented financial culture across all partner schools.To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred), have at least 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit or educational settings, possess a strong understanding of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and financial compliance, and have experience with audits, financial planning, and board reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as proficiency in accounting software.
