Associate, Investor Relations (Direct Lending)
  • As an Associate in the European Credit Group at Ares, you will be a key player in supporting relationship management activities with a focus on reporting and analysis preparation. Your role will involve providing investor relations support through written communications, market research, competitor analysis, and investor presentation support. You will work closely with investment professionals to ensure the success of the group's activities.Your primary responsibilities will include working with Product Specialists to provide information on firm strategies and funds to clients. You will assist in creating client materials, updating market data, and tailoring materials to meet the needs of various users. Additionally, you will interface with internal subject matter experts, produce portfolio reports, respond to investor questionnaires, and maintain key metrics on competitors.To excel in this role, you must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, and analytical skills. You should be detail-oriented, experienced in investor relations or product specialist roles, and have a background in credit. A CA/MBA/CFA qualification is preferred, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.As part of the team, you will collaborate with various departments within the firm and take on ad-hoc projects as needed. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills, will be essential for success in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.Reporting to the Vice President, Credit IR, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the European Credit Group at Ares.
