What the role is
The successful candidate will be part of the team that is responsible for developing and executing media plans in support of PUB’s communication efforts.
What you will be working on- Have a good understanding of the media landscape and able to build good media relations by establishing strong media contacts
- Creatively develop innovative strategies and ideas promoting PUB via feature stories, online and broadcast media
- Develop and maintain unified messaging and positioning organisation-wide, along with corporate reputation and comms media strategies
- Create quality and timely press materials (e.g. press releases, social media content, speech pointers, talking points, briefing documents and coverage reports)
- Organise events such as press conferences, media briefings, media tours etc
- Facilitate media request
- Manage media and public comms during incidents and/or crisis situations
- Conduct media monitoring to assess reach to target audiences and delivery of key messages
- Degree in communications, journalism or a related discipline, with minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience
- Track record of success in delivering high quality comms work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Good interpersonal skills. Able to build relations with influencers and media stakeholders including pitching stories, driven by a results-focused approach
- Ability to build and manage key relationships with a wide range of media contacts including editors and reporters
- Digital and social media savvy with professional/client experience
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent writing skills along with strong presentation and oral communication skills
- Highly motivated and able to deliver under tight deadlines
- Work well independently and also a good team player
