We are looking for motivated talents to join our team in developing cutting-edge silicon
photonics devices. The responsibilities include:
1. Device Development : Design and develop high-performance passive and active silicon
photonics devices (e.g., couplers, splitters, polarization splitters/rotators, MUX/DEMUX,
phase shifters, photodetectors, modulators, etc.) for optical transceivers, co-packaged
optics, and optical switches.
2. Process Innovation : Collaborate with industrial silicon photonics foundries to co
develop innovative process flows for next-generation photonic devices.
3. Device Simulation : Perform comprehensive device simulations and build numerical
models to predict device performance.
4. Layout Design : Create tape-out layouts for foundries and follow up to ensure timely
delivery.
5. Testing & Optimization : Conduct detailed optical and electrical testing, perform root
cause analysis, and iteratively enhance device performance.
6. Team Contribution : Play a key role in the design and development of large-scale
photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
Requirements
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
1. Educational Background : PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields, with strong
research experience in silicon photonics.
2. Additional Expertise : Experience in quantum photonics or optical computing is a plus.
3. Industry Experience : Experience with tape-out processes in photonic foundries and
familiarity with photonic PDKs.
4. Technical Proficiency : Skilled in simulation tools such as Lumerical MODE, FDTD,
CHARGE, Ansys HFSS, and Silvaco.
5. Programming Skills : Proficient in Python and MATLAB for modeling and data
analysis.
6. Communication : Strong communication skills, with fluency in English and/or Chinese.
7. Team Player : Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
