Regional Engineering Lead

This role is based in Yarralumla, ACT, full‑time, and is suited for a highly experienced engineering professional. Scope of Work Review and deploy policies, procedures and reporting mechanisms to adhere to client and country guidelines. Develop and implement preventive and planned maintenance programs across all sites. Ensure Permit to Work systems are implemented through relevant protocols involving Responsible Persons, Authorized Persons, and Competent Persons. Maintain Asset and Engineering Management tools in accordance with client and account team expectations. Ensure effective scheduling and allocation of preventive maintenance tasks, delivering on strategic objectives. Analyze work orders for preventive and reactive work to determine areas of potential concern. Manage the Life Cycle Asset Maintenance (LCAM) program, ensuring accurate Asset and Work Order data. Operational Management Develop and lead engineering and safety‑related training for all on‑site staff. Develop and communicate planned and reactive work order reports within the JLL account team FM team. Ensure response times and fault repair times meet contract‑established thresholds. Partner with Site Facility Managers to ensure consistent service delivery. Contribute to monthly reports for the client covering the scope of maintenance services. Work with delivery teams to ensure plans are in place for portfolio delivery, inspection, test, audit, maintenance/PPM, and incidents. Develop efficient processes and procedures for facilities management staff to update and monitor asset and engineering management systems. Conduct asset and engineering systems reviews to ensure regional and international teams meet responsibilities. Support the onboarding of new properties in the technical review of service documentation. Provide technical support and guidance on engineering matters through regular communication and forums. Core Competencies Proactive, flexible, and able to think laterally and deliver innovative solutions. Familiar with British Standards regarding building engineering. Experience working in the UK in an engineering capacity is advantageous. Attention to detail and passion for quality. Ability to work across multiple, matrix reporting environments. Strong understanding of lifecycle asset management. Strong leadership and collaborative skills. Goal‑oriented, focusing on meeting performance targets. Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels. Qualifications University degree or professional qualification in engineering, mechanical management, facility management, or a related field. 10+ years practical experience in engineering (M&E) planning and management. Experience maintaining high‑quality facilities by working closely with the Facility Management team. Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems. Location & Travel The role is based either in a local JLL office (preferable) or from home, with flexible working arrangements.
