Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities Transportation Operations & Execution
Ensure successful planning and execution of shipments within OTM Monitor carrier performance, service levels, and cost adherence Lead issue resolution for shipment exceptions, delays, and system gaps OTM Configuration & Design Configure and maintain OTM modules including: Order Release Management Shipment Planning & Optimization Rate Management (contracts, tariffs, fuel) Itineraries & Routing Logic Translate operational requirements into system configurations (no heavy coding required) Drive continuous improvement of planning parameters, constraints, and automation rules Ensure system design aligns with industry transportation standards and best practices
Program Management
Lead OTM-related initiatives such as enhancements, expansions, and new lane implementations Partner with IT for system upgrades, integrations (ERP, WMS), and EDI/API connectivity Manage carrier onboarding within OTM (rates, tendering, milestones, visibility) Develop SOPs and governance models for system usage and data integrity Analytics & Continuous Improvement Analyze transportation data to identify cost savings and service improvements Optimize routing guides, mode selection, and consolidation strategies Monitor KPIs such as: On-time pickup/delivery Cost per kg / per shipment Tender acceptance rates Planning efficiency
Cross-Functional Leadership
Act as the primary liaison between: Transportation Operations Procurement / Sourcing IT / Systems Teams Carriers and 3PLs Train and support end users on OTM functionality and best practices
Required Qualification & Requirements
5–10+ years of transportation/logistics experience (shipper, 3PL, or forwarder) Hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) in an operational environment Strong understanding of multi-modal transportation (parcel, LTL, FTL, air, ocean) Experience configuring OTM (rates, itineraries, agents, automation—not just user-level) Ability to translate business needs into system design and execution Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience with global transportation (customs, duties, VAT considerations) Familiarity with ERP integrations (e.g., Oracle, SAP) Experience with EDI/API integrations with carriers Background in freight procurement or routing guide optimization Culture Commitment Ensure adherence to company's values (ICARE) in all aspects of your position at Coherent Corp.: I ntegrity – Create an Environment of Trust C ollaboration – Innovate Through the Sharing of Ideas A ccountability – Own the Process and the Outcome R espect – Recognize the Value in Everyone E nthusiasm – Find a Sense of Purpose in Work
