Overview

Wealth Management, UHNW Banker, China Market, Vice President, based in Singapore. JP Morgan seeks a high-caliber candidate to join the China market team as a UHNW Banker, Vice President to support and manage all aspects of client relationships across the team. The region remains a key center for growth, offering opportunities to develop and broaden our businesses together.

Responsibilities
  • Support and manage all aspects of client relationships across the team and develop long-term relationships through professional and personal networks.
  • Build a portfolio of clients using JPMorgan’s platforms, products, services, and networks; prospect, acquire new clients, cultivate prospect lists, convert them into clients, and deepen relationships.
  • Coordinate with various teams to address account inquiries, maintenance, and investment-related aspects.
  • Articulate and deliver strategic messages to the portfolio; prepare presentations and proposals; take solicited and unsolicited orders in all asset classes; update clients on markets, portfolio performance, investments opportunities, and risks.
  • Update Know Your Client (KYC) information, client suitability profiles, host client meetings, monitor funds/asset transfers, and handle client ad-hoc queries.
  • Collaborate with integrated team members to provide high-quality client service.
  • Track Clients, Assets Under Management (AUM), and Revenues using internal systems; periodically calculate account performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk management, operational, and due diligence requirements and internal policies.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in wealth management with strong client and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of private banking regulatory and control environments relevant to the team; ability to manage accounts accordingly.
  • Proven client management and effective communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to engage and influence clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; a team player able to work with different business functions across the bank.
  • High integrity and risk awareness.
  • Experience reporting to senior management as part of contributing to JP Morgan’s strategy.
  • Proficiency in Business Mandarin is essential for interaction with Chinese-speaking clients.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
  • Local regulatory qualifications and licenses preferred. If you do not possess an RNF Registered status in Singapore, you may need to sit for CACS Paper 1 & 2 to register as a Representative with MAS for private banking.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant financial markets and instruments.
