Position: Freelance Private Psychologist/Counsellor (1-To-1) Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate children’s emotional, behavioural, and psychological needs. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings and each child’s unique needs and goals. Provide one-on-one counselling or therapy sessions, utilising evidence-based techniques to address issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges, and social skills deficits. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide holistic support and ensure consistency in therapeutic interventions across environments. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of each child’s progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Provide guidance and resources to families, helping them understand and support their child’s mental health needs. Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in child psychology and counselling. Requirements: A recognised degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. Valid registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) or relevant professional body in Singapore. Previous experience working with children, particularly in a therapeutic or counselling context, is highly valued. Strong knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and their families. Ability to work independently and customise therapy plans based on each child’s progress and evolving needs. A genuine passion for supporting children’s mental health and emotional well-being.
