Overview

We are looking to hire a Data Centre Design Specialist (Layout / Floorplan) in Singapore to support our client, a top global investment bank . The ideal candidate will be responsible to design and plan Data Centre Halls, ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Design and plan Data Centre Halls with a focus on space optimization, power and cooling infrastructure.
  • Work closely with vendors and DCO Engineers to align on deliverables and ensure accurate implementation
  • Design data center hall layouts when new space is allocated, based on operational and technical needs
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders, share findings and proposed plans clearly and effectively
  • Identify potential risks and inefficiencies in the data centre design and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Evaluate technologies proposed by vendors and assess suitability against current and emerging data center technologies
Required Skills
  • Education Background in computer science, information technology, and/or engineering field
  • Possess at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in Data Centre design
  • Knowledge of Data Centre power systems and cooling mechanisms
  • Experience of Data Centre capacity management will be advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability collaborate effectively with partner teams, vendors and stakeholders.
