Be among the first 25 applicants Quantity Surveyor Roles & Responsibilities Oversee projects from inception through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget Formulation of procurement strategy, preparation of tender documentation, preparation of cost reports and cost plans, administration of tender process, evaluation of tenders and submission of tender recommendation reports Review variation orders, assess the associated variation costs, loss & expense claims, monthly financial reports, processing of progress payments and final account To work closely with the Project Team providing cost and financial advice, support negotiations of claims, manage contractual changes and resolve disputes or conflicts with Contractors Requirements Recognised Degree in Quantity Surveying with good understanding of the Construction process Preferably possess at least 5-year experience in a QS consulting environment, preferably with experience in infrastructure, container port, marine terminals or coastal development projects Must be well versed with the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract and various types of Contract Conditions Has good writing and communication skills and strong negotiation and mediation skills Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities Possesses superior attention to detail in order to spot inconsistencies in contracts Resourceful and able to work independently and is a good team player as well Possess excellent people skills with the ability to integrate within a multi-disciplinary team Willing to travel overseas as and when required for handling of overseas projects At Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
