Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will take a proactive approach to develop the organization's profile and prominence within the sports industry. The CEO will be responsible for the managing the organization’s financials, human resources, interactions with the Board and its Committees, and day to day running of Singapore Gymnastics operations. Together with the Performance Director (PD), the CEO will develop the organisation’s profile and prominence within the sports industry and develop strategies to diversify revenue streams and promote the sport to attract sponsors. All this should be done in alignment with the Singapore Gymnastics Business Plan FY26-29. The CEO needs to demonstrate the ability to think and plan strategically as well as managing the day-to-day operation of a growing organization. Responsibilities Leadership Establish with the PD and BoD the vision, mission and values of SG with a focus on creating value for the Members. Develop in consultation with the PD, and recommend to the BoD for adoption, a Business Plan consistent with the vision, mission and values of SG. Identify opportunities which are consistent with the vision, mission, values and Business Plan of SG. Set the tone for SG to promote and foster an ethical and responsible culture that supports the attainment of SG’s aims and objectives; and Provide the executive leadership necessary to guide and inspire the staff of SG to ensure the long‑term success. Board of Directors Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors (BoD) to establish sound governance and accountability systems and processes. Work closely with the President, Secretary and Treasurer, and the chairs of each board committee to: bring decisions to be made by the board and board committees and other matters of importance to the board's and board committees' attention in a timely manner; and set board, board committee agendas, and provide timely and relevant information to the board and board committees to enable the board and board committees to effectively discharge their obligations. Provide support for BoD activities. Prepare the Annual Report for presentation at the Annual General Meeting. Set up and monitor the effectiveness of communication channels to ensure that the BoD, Committees, staff and members are kept informed of activities. Finance Oversee the overall budget for Singapore Gymnastics in collaboration with Finance and HR Manager (FHM). Ensure that individual budgets for each programme are submitted and coordinated. Oversee marketing and sponsorship in collaboration with the Event & Marketing Manager. Monitor and approve all finances throughout the year, requesting detailed budgets before activities are conducted. Assist the with production and monitoring of the Business Plan, Multi Year Sports Plans (MYSPs) and funding requests with the FHM. Monitor and ensure that all event and programme budgets are within total budget and approved funding. National Office Staff To ensure smooth and efficient National office operations. To manage all staffing issues (e.g., resolve any conflicts, provide counselling to staff, motivate staff and encourage teamwork amongst National Office staff). Recommend, review, and develop sports management and administration programmes and support schemes as well as policies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of management practices and capabilities. Provide direction, oversee the work of all staff, and ensure optimal staffing requirements. Motivate and manage a highly skilled and multi-disciplinary team. Plan, appraise and monitor staff development. Governance & Compliance Ensure the development of management documents necessary for SG to achieve its aims and objectives and recommend policies and other management documents to the Board, as appropriate, for approval. Oversee the development of the implementation of, and compliance with, appropriate systems, including those to: ensure ethical behaviour of SG and its staff. ensure the integrity of SG's internal control management information systems and financial reporting. ensure disclosure controls and procedures that are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure the principal business risks of SG are identified and managed. Public Relations Oversee and manage SG’s brand and public communications. Develop and implement communications and publicity plans that include various media (external such as TV, radio and print; and internal such as website, publications, and brochures) for local and international events. Oversee the preparation of all press releases and ensure that the releases are sent out at appropriate times for all activities, in consultation with the Board. Ensure timely dissemination of news and updates to the gymnastic community through various platforms such as SG newsletter, social media, e-mails etc. Manage and maintain media relations and be a media spokesperson for the organization. Business Development Develop and implement strategies to diversify revenue streams. Develop and implement strategies to attract more funding. Negotiate contracts with sponsors (work with Finance & Office Manager and outside legal resources to manage contractual risks). International Affairs Build and maintain good relationship with FIG, AGU, and SEA Zone to develop the sport locally and regionally. Where appropriate and required, establish links with other organisations with specific expertise in sports development (i.e. within and outside of gymnastics). Sports Development Oversee the development of grassroots programmes and events, where appropriate in collaboration with clubs, to increase participation, capacity and revenue to SG. Actively engage Affiliated Members to provide support for the development of gymnastics. Sport Singapore (Sport SG) Maintain strong relations with SG’s key financial stakeholder. Oversee the implementation of the SG Business Plan and associated Multi Year Sports Plan (MYSP) in accordance with the requirements of SportSG, as and where required, and ensure that all KPIs are achieved within respective pillars of Governance and Business. Ensure that all operations and procedures conform to the prevailing regulations, policies, and guidelines issued by SportSG from time to time. Assist in the submission of timely reports to the BoDs and SportSG on progress made in the specified areas of responsibilities. Participate in all SportSG reviews and meetings; and SportSG organized activities for NSAs. Excellent interpersonal skills. University undergraduate degree or higher in fields of Business Administration, Sports Management, Coaching, Physical Education or other sports‑related discipline. At least 10 years’ experience with a successful track record in business management and development. Demonstrate knowledge in planning and possess good organisation skills. Financial knowledge, strong proficiency with accounts and experience in managing a budget and a team. Experience in managing diverse needs of various stakeholders, and in managing a community. Ten years’ People/Stakeholder Management experience. Strong communicator in both written and oral English. Demonstrable passion for sport. #J-18808-Ljbffr
