Network Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our ICT Infrastructure team. As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for day 1 operations and project implementation of client network infrastructure, including Palo Alto, Check Point and Fortigate firewalls, Cisco switches, Alcatel switches, Aruba Clear Pass Policy Manager (CPPM), Cisco/Juniper Routers, Cisco/Aruba Wireless solution, Network Load Balancers (F5) and related devices. You will play a critical role in ensuring the new network infrastructure setup and enhancement to the existing network infrastructure, availability, performance, and security of our network services. Responsibilities Network Design: Plan LAN/WLAN solutions tailored to business requirements, including RF site surveys, analyze coverage, develop and document network topologies, capacity plans, and migration strategies; implement and tune Wi-Fi networks (802.11 standards) and optimize AP placement for reliability. Network Analysis and Implementation: Define scope, provide solutions, act as a senior resource to plan configuration changes during migrations, troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime. Network and Security Deployment: Design, build, configure, test, document, and maintain deployment scope of work for LAN/WAN and security solutions. Firewall Management: Deploy, configure, manage, and maintain Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls; onboard firewalls to central management consoles; manage policies and IPSEC/IKE. Switch Management: Configure and manage Cisco switches; plan tech-refresh configurations. Router Management: Configure and manage Cisco Routers; plan and implement router tech-refresh; troubleshoot WAN connectivity. Access Control and Authentication: Administer CPPM for user authentication and access control; radius and certificate management; ensure policy compliance. Wireless Management: Deploy and configure WLC, AP management; troubleshoot WLAN issues. Load Balancer Management: Deploy F5 LTM, configure SSL proxy, VIPs, and iRules. Documentation: Create network diagrams, configurations, asset inventories, and SOPs. Collaboration: Work with system administrators and security experts to meet network goals. Security Compliance: Ensure configurations meet security standards. Automation: Any automation skills related to network and security deployment are a plus. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field. CCNA is a MUST CCNP and PCNSE or equivalent certification preferred Proven experience with Palo Alto, Check Point, and Fortigate firewalls. Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches and routers. Hands-on experience with Aruba CPPM or similar access control systems. Proficient in OSPF and BGP configuration. Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing and switching, and Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong migration planning for network projects; effective communication and teamwork. Preferred Skills Ekahau or AirMagnet experience. PCNSA or CCSA certifications; additional certifications are a plus. Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools. Experience in network automation and ACI infrastructure deployment. Experience in hybrid network transitions from on-premise to cloud.
