SDLC Engineering

Part of Goldman Sachs’ Core Engineering group, our goal is to provide top-tier language support and tooling to facilitate product building, testing, and deployment. We aim to improve product quality, developer productivity, and collaboration opportunities, driving impactful technological solutions for the firm. By joining us, you will be part of a diverse global technical team focused on solving critical business problems. Your role will involve ensuring that code written by thousands of GS engineers is securely versioned, expertly reviewed, quickly compiled, comprehensively tested, and widely distributed.

What You Will Be Working On

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to design, deploy, and manage autonomous AI systems to improve the software development lifecycle. You will develop solutions to manage and optimize the performance of AI-driven engineering agents, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration into existing workflows. The role requires a creative collaborator who adapts to change and thrives in a fast-paced, global environment.

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For

• Minimum 10 years of experience in programming, software engineering, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in multiple languages; strong skills in at least one: Golang, Python, Java, or C++.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, drive consensus, and influence outcomes; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
• Experience with DevOps, SRE, infrastructure as code, Terraform, AWS.
• Knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with all stages of developing and operating large distributed systems.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, SSH).
