ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore’s internal security and stability. We are looking for candidates who are critical thinkers with an investigative mindset and have a passion to pursue a career in cyber intelligence. You will be part of a team with unique access to insights into cyber threat activities within Singapore's cyberspace, and your role is to attribute cyber threats and assess their potential impact on national security.

What You Will Be Working On

As a Cyber Intelligence Technical Analyst, you will develop and apply your skills in areas such as:

  • Technical analysis: Perform forensic analysis on computer/network artifacts to uncover the motivation and modus operandi behind cyber attacks or adversary operations, aiming to attribute them.
  • Capability development: Use programming and coding skills to build or enhance tools that automate investigative and analysis processes.

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Infocomm Security, Information Systems, Digital Forensics, or related ICT fields, or equivalent competencies.
  • Applicants with no experience are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interest and passion in Cyber Security.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, PHP, BASH, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with major Operating Systems like Windows and Linux.
  • Interest in applying forensics techniques on computer artifacts to uncover malicious activities.
  • Good analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to understand complex technology concepts.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Team player with initiative, capable of collaborative work.
  • Relevant cyber security experience is advantageous.
  • Professional certifications such as GCFA, GCFE, GNFA are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Encase, FTK, X-Ways, TSK, SIFT Workstation, Autopsy, Regripper, Plaso, Wireshark, Moloch, Network Miner, Splunk is advantageous.
