The essential responsibilities of Senior Network Security Engineer:

  • Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, switches & wireless controller/access points and network access control
  • Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximise network efficiency and security troubleshooting/ fault finding network incidents
  • Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations/laptops, telephony equipment, printers, and production equipment/tools
  • Perform and arrange network device/firewall firmware upgrade or preventive maintenance activities
  • Provide systems engineering and operational support for the IT infrastructure components
  • Handle all escalations on system, applications and attend to faults, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software technical problems.
  • Manage and maintain an up-to-date IT asset and patch information list, network diagrams, system requests and documented processes for the operations and maintenance of the platforms
  • Develop and improve instrumentations to monitor the health and availability of the systems-related infrastructure, Experience with monitoring tools
Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a similar relevant field
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in network administration is a must
  • Hands-on experience with equipment from HPE, Aruba, Cisco
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches (layer 2/3), firewalls, remote access, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, QoS, and VPN
  • Hands-on knowledge of Firewall, Routers, VLANs and routing protocols
  • Knowledge of DMZ, Cyber Security, server hardening and firewall administration
  • Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation
  • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff within the organization
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
