Singtel x Singapore Institute of Technology have launched the “The Catalyst Programme” Work-Study Programme (WSP) in Feb 2023. This structured on-the-job development program allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure full-time roles while pursuing a university honours degree in Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. The program is open to internal employees and external diploma holders, preferably from ICT, but others are encouraged to apply. Over 3 years, candidates will complete micro-credentials contributing to an honours degree.
The role offered is within the Infrastructure Service Assurance Team , responsible for fault incident response related to network infrastructure like Singtel CPLUS, SDWAN, and Megapop IP network, aiming to restore services quickly and maintain SLA standards.
- Proactive monitoring and incident management for IP infrastructure, including escalation and stakeholder communication.
- Liaising with local service providers until issues are resolved.
- Escalating issues when necessary.
- Resolving hardware faults within 4 hours SLA.
- Escalating complex issues to Tier 3, Problem Management, or vendors.
- Managing hardware faults, including diagnosis, RMA, replacement, and return.
- Providing onsite support at Data Centres and Exchanges, including hardware replacement and fiber fault resolution.
- Documenting incidents in the SMOD ticketing system.
