Associate Director, Finance – Nxera

Overview

Role: Associate Director, Finance. Location: Singapore, Singapore (based on job posting).

Responsibilities
  • Support DI Co businesses (Enterprise Platforms and RE:AI) on all financial matters
  • Understand the business well to work closely with Management to set priorities
  • Review and monitor business financials, including business cases
  • Ensure completeness of entity financials, review of financial statements
  • Tax compliance, including corporate tax and GST
  • Support business expansion activities, including regional expansion
  • Provide financial information, tools, analysis and insight to management, helping them make informed decisions and drive business strategy
Investment / Project Development
  • Assist in the overall project management of Data Centre (DC) initiatives across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and other markets
  • Monitor JV performance within Nxera, including associated business cases where applicable
  • Coordinate valuation work related to deals
  • Involvement in market scoping and financial modelling for business development
Regional Financial Operations
  • Engage JV management on Nxera requirements
  • Evaluate and set up local ERP systems (Regional ERP plan at Regional DC level)
  • Set up local procurement policy and scope of joint procurement
  • Set up local bank accounts, payroll and approval matrix for procurement, bank transactions and contract deviations
  • Support sourcing of project financing when appropriate
  • Develop templates for setting up financial operations for JVs in other markets
  • Set up budgeting and reporting cadence
  • Support capital drawdown and any Board/shareholder matters
Skills For Success
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • High proficiency in financial modelling
  • Proficiency and intuitive understanding of multiple business drivers and value-creation levers
  • Ability to assess and critically evaluate business models from a strategic investor’s perspective
  • Strong business acumen with exposure to commercial finance
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and leadership qualities
  • Meticulous, with strong analytical skills and high learning agility
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
