Overall Role Purpose

• Leverage large volumes of structured and unstructured data within Group Data Science to solve real business problems across OCBC.
• Collaborate with business units to understand their challenges and transform them into ML and AI solutions.
• Work on AI and Generative AI, including building and serving applications for conversational bots and content generation.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for leveraging big data and Data Science to create value for customers and the business.
• Develop and maintain machine learning and deep learning models for various business outcomes.
• Coordinate with teams to deploy models into production, including large pretrained and fine-tuned models.
• Use MLOps tools to monitor and improve model performance and accuracy.

Specific Knowledge

• 5+ years of experience with data manipulation and statistical modeling, ideally with advanced degrees in related fields.
• Experience leading a team.
• Strong programming skills and understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Trino, and VectorDB.
• Experience with distributed frameworks for training and serving models.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools like Jira, Jenkins, GIT/Bitbucket.
• Track record of deploying ML solutions at scale, including AI and GenAI.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative in translating data insights into compelling stories and decisions for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering business benefits.
• Genuine interest in learning new technologies.
