Responsibilities Lead Material Controller: responsible for leading material control activities and teams to maintain the flow of materials required for projects and operations; ensure efficient management of materials and inventory to support uninterrupted execution. Collaborate with multiple departments to support project timelines and operational excellence. Inventory Management: maintain and lead accurate counting and records of material in stock; oversee material handling, storage, and preservation to prevent damage, loss or deterioration; keep storage areas clean and organized. Material Movement: record in/out stock movements; coordinate demand and transfer of material between storage locations; distribute materials, supplies, and equipment based on requests and orders. Coordination: maintain communication with yard, warehouse or cargo teams for equipment requiring coordination. Documentation: maintain comprehensive material records (receipts, issuances, transfers) and generate/oversee reports for management and audit purposes. Compliance: ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and industry regulations in all material-related activities. Material Planning: track material consumption; collaborate with Projects, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams to forecast needs and develop material planning strategies; identify shortages, bottlenecks, and risks; implement proactive measures and contingency plans. Material Replenishment: initiate demand and replenishment tasks; coordinate replenishment or transfers to avoid shortages or surplus. Inspection and Quality Control: verify incoming materials against quality and specifications; conduct inspections and address discrepancies or non-conformities. Setting Vision and Goals: contribute to defining a clear vision for material management with upper management and set achievable goals for teams. Mentoring: guide and develop team members, provide feedback and growth opportunities, and conduct regular audits to ensure processes are followed physically and in Information Systems. Education Bachelor’s degree in Stock Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics Management. Experience Proven track record in material control or inventory management within the oil and gas industry or a similar sector. Knowledge of materials used in oil and gas operations, including equipment and spare parts, and industry-specific regulations. Strong understanding of Procurement / Supply Chain processes. Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory tracking tools; knowledge of ERP systems and data analysis tools preferred. Analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize material usage and reduce waste. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate records and comply with industry standards. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate.
