Overview

Senior Site Engineer will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively manage a team of site engineers, supervisors, and construction workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction activities to meet project deadlines; monitor progress and adjust schedules and targets as required; ensure work is completed in accordance with specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Site Supervision: Oversee daily site operations, ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards; conduct regular site inspections and resolve issues; liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical support to site engineers and construction teams; review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications; ensure accurate implementation of designs and plans.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures; conduct inspections and testing of materials and workmanship; address non-conformance issues promptly.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Prepare and manage project budgets; monitor expenses and report financial performance and progress to senior management.
  • Health and Safety: Promote a strong safety culture on site; ensure compliance with regulations and standards; conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as main point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors; facilitate effective communication among stakeholders; prepare and present project reports and progress updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a senior supervisory role; proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills; excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools; in-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent preferred; safety management certifications (e.g., WSQ) are an advantage.
Working Conditions
