Job Summary Manages daily functions of the Loss Prevention & Security department to ensure protection of property assets, employees, guests and property. Maintains logs, certifications and documents as required by law and SOPs. Trains staff in emergency procedures and implements accident and fire prevention. Focuses on guest and employee satisfaction while achieving operating budget.

Candidate Profile High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in security/loss prevention or related area. 2-year degree in Criminal Justice or related major; 2 years experience in security/loss prevention or related area. Core Work Activities Assist Director of Engineering in administering fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness. Conduct hazard and risk assessments, quarterly OSHA/SAFETY audits, incident tracking, and hazard abatement. Develop detailed shut‑down procedures and monthly checklists for CCTV, alarmed doors and duress alarms to ensure functionality.

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, safety regulations, key‑control guidelines, and loss‑prevention protocols. Carry out patrols covering all interior and exterior areas, inspect recording systems, and document findings. Follow duty‑of‑care process to protect guests and employees; report and address unusual activities. Handle complaints, settle disputes and resolve grievances, negotiating with others as needed.

Implement action plans to monitor and control risk, including oversight of investigations, shipping and receiving processes, electronic key system, and manager responsibilities. Lead Accident Prevention Committee and first‑aid program. Monitor claims process and protect company assets by reviewing liability and workers‑compensation cases. Communicate safety procedures, ensure employee understanding, monitor related processes, and emphasize teamwork and hospitality to deter crime.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service Meet quality standards and customer expectations daily. Develop educational or training programs for staff. Inspect and critique loss‑prevention department performance to maintain high professionalism and service. Provide services that exceed customer satisfaction and retention.

Additional Responsibilities Analyze information, evaluate results and choose best solutions. Develop liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services. Provide timely updates to executives and peers; communicate information via phone, email, or in person.
