What the role is:

This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering.

What you will be working on:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Developing curriculum, facilitating student learning, conducting assessments, and performing tasks for modules related to Advanced Manufacturing/Smart Factory Systems, Mobility Systems Design, Thermofluids, or Systems Engineering.
  2. Undertaking administrative tasks related to course management.
  3. Spearheading and identifying new opportunities and collaborations with industry.
  4. Working on industry or consultancy projects to stay relevant in your profession.
  5. Supporting student development through mentoring, guidance, and fostering a positive learning environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Possess relevant Mechanical Engineering/Systems Engineering qualifications, with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in Advanced Manufacturing/Smart Factory Systems, Mobility Systems Design, Thermofluids, and Systems Engineering would be an advantage.
  • Experience in 3D CAD design or CAE would be desirable.
  • Passionate about education and possess a strong interest in nurturing, teaching, mentoring, and interacting with students.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven, independent, and ready to work as a team.
