We are passionate about this and hope you are too.About the Team The infrastructure team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyper-scale datacenters, managing the life cycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions, and developing various infrastructure services and making sure they are scalable and are reliable. We are seeking a Technical Program Manager who has successfully driven multi-dimensional business critical strategic programs across several workstreams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in project management, technical program management, and PMO principles. They should have a proven track record of delivering complex programs on time, within budget, and to predetermined quality standards. This candidate will be responsible for collaborating with a team of engineering managers and business stakeholders, orchestrating the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. They will work closely with senior leadership to define project scope, timeline, operational metrics, and budget, to ensure alignment with business goals and KPIs. They will also be responsible for prioritizing competing needs and managing stakeholder expectations, resolving conflicts, in addition to providing regular status updates to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning: - Drive clarity and reduce ambiguity in complex dependent workstream goals. - Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation for Bytedance strategic initiatives globally. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including capacity planning, network engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure alignment and successful project execution. 2. Stakeholder Management: - Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications. - Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle. - Provide regular updates to senior management and other key stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies. 3. Execution and Monitoring: - Monitor project progress and performance, with a focus on resource utilization, reducing the time and cost it takes for project deliveries to be operationalized. - Implement project management best practices and methodologies to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of projects. - Learn from ongoing projects to improve future delivery outcomes. 4. Risk & Compliance Management: - Identify potential risks and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes. - Conduct regular risk assessments and adjust plans as necessary to address emerging challenges. 5. Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and incidents, change logs. - Prepare and present project reports and presentations to stakeholders and senior management on an established cadence. 6. Continuous Improvement: - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the PMO function. - Stay current with industry trends and best practices in project management and network infrastructure.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in project/program management, with a focus on network infrastructure or private / public cloud computing or hyperscale datacenter infrastructure providers. - Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation to completion. - Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. - Proficiency in project management software (JIRA). - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. - Collaborative with a global team and willing to roll up the sleeves as necessary.
