We are seeking a dynamic Director – Key Account Management (APAC) to help grow our Automotive footprint across the region. In this newly created hybrid role, you'll drive revenue by expanding existing key accounts (farming) and unlocking new business opportunities (hunting).
Reporting to the Vice President – Key Account Management – APAC, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic value, exceptional service, and tailored solutions to our clients.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for key Automotive clients across the APAC region.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Automotive sector to expand our client base.
- Uncover upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing key accounts to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, customer service) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Lead regular business reviews with clients to track performance, address concerns, and explore new opportunities.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to anticipate client needs and propose strategic solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to secure mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships.
- Report on account performance, revenue forecasts, and key initiatives to senior management.
- Stay ahead of industry developments and emerging technologies to advise clients and shape account strategies.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in key account management, business development, or sales within the logistics and freight forwarding industry, with a focus on Automotive clients.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and growing key accounts in the APAC region, with a strong understanding of regional market dynamics and customer needs.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and closing complex deals, contracts, and partnerships with Automotive companies in the logistics industry.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute account plans to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of client organizations.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management processes, including freight forwarding, customs regulations, and transportation modes, to effectively address client requirements.
- Willingness to travel within the APAC region as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and collaborate with internal teams to drive business success.
